Michigan Martial Arts Self-Defense Combat Systems

The following sections of this website are the requirements for Membership, Different Programs, Color Belt Promotions, and Instructor / School Certifications...

In the future, there will be more that we offer as we grow... All members will be treated equally, with respect, honesty, loyalty, and courtesy. All members will receive direct guidance from me (Grand Master Don Boivin), plus a Board of Directors as we build and grow. The American Iron Fist Bokido Kai School is the Main Governing Body that regulates the brotherhood/sisterhood of the Michigan Martial Arts Self-Defense Combat Systems. The is now open to any Systems, Styles, Arts, and also any Ranks of Belt levels.

The Michigan Martial Arts Self-Defense Combat Systems at first, were blends of mainly Traditional Korean Tang Soo Do and Combat Ninjuka Jujitsu. These two systems are the martial arts principles that I have been teaching for many years. Tang Soo Do is the base system that started everything and some other influences, such as Kenpo/Kempo and Aikia, were blended to create Bokido Shi Do Kwan Tang Soo Do Karate.

Combat Ninjuka Jujitsu was created by Michael DePasquale Jr, who is Soke of the Yoshitsune Jujitsu and Ninjuka Combat Jujitsu systems. With permission from him, I blend the Ninjuka Combat Jujitsu style that I have studied over the years, into my blended system. These two systems are taught to my students, to learn the best of both worlds, plus other styles that also influenced the blended system. After some time of teaching the blended system, which went under a variety of names before finally being called the "American Shin Gan Ninjuka Tang Soo Do " system, I decided to just teach the blended system, because that is what everyone wanted to learn and I love to teach the blended system for it's versatility. The blended system is taught in two parts… Part one is the system name I just mentioned. This is mainly taught in the Dojang /Dojo and is the basic heart of the system. Part two is the full system name (American Wilderness Warriors Outdoorsman). This is mainly taught outside in the Forest and is the heart of my survival / Bushcraft side of the system.

I have earned Black Belt rankings in a variety of other martial arts styles that also add to the system's unique structure and make it a well-rounded system to study for Kids, Teens, and Adult levels that are specialized in martial arts training in self-defense, goal setting, discipline and so much more! We work hand in hand, to get the future martial artists on the right path…

Also, one of my board members, Master James Puzar, founded a style called the "American Jujitsu Karate System". This system is also included in the Michigan Martial Arts Self-Defense Combat Systems and there is more information on this website about Master Puzar and his system.

My blended system is taught in an American format, but also follows the cultural backgrounds of Korean Tang Soo Do, Japanese Ninjuka, Okinawan Goju, and Shaolin Kempo. These styles are blended to create the system as a whole American martial art style. Each member should become familiar with all requirements about their situation. Remember we are here to grow, learn, and prosper in the way of the martial arts. Together we can provide seminars, demos, camps, and different types of events for our areas.

In the past years, all my programs were used as helpful communication tools for all martial artists of the different school areas to communicate with one another share their interests, and work together to provide not only the martial arts world but anyone interested, in the true backgrounds and qualities of learning martial arts. I am opening all my programs to not only the state of Michigan, but the whole United States, and in the future, all Countries...The martial arts have many beneficial effects above and beyond that of strict self-defense. There are psychological benefits, including self-confidence, discipline, and accomplishment. There are also physical benefits to be derived from regular training, including improved strength, flexibility, and endurance. With the addition of the "Michigan Christian Martial Arts Society", we blend the Lord's word with the training and live by the words, "Honor - Faith and Self-Control, not only in our training but our whole life... Remember that knowledge without perfection is wasted and mastering ten techniques is better than knowing a thousand. I would like to personally welcome each one of you and wish you the very best in " Do ", the way and God bless you all!
